Random Pics left over from Manila

Here are some more random pics left over from our Manila stay...

Chinese temple...

Now I know your asking yourself..."What is this?" But your eyes aren't deceiving you! It's an ice skating ring!!! IN THE PHILIPPINES...IN THE MALL! we had to take a pic...
(notice the guy in the middle about to bust it...haha)
The super market where Rodney and I would get groceries in Manila...it was pretty fancy

Manila Cathedral...
(Rodney showing off his photography skills)

More random views of the city from our hostel...

Wine and Cheese night at Friendly's! Who knew...but our hostel on Saturday nights did a free wine and cheese night...this was our spread...and although the wine was nothing to sing about...it was still really good!
Hanging out at the bar across the street from our hostel with other fellow back packers....I forget the name, but it was just a little street-side opening covered by tarps and bamboo...anyway, they had CHEAP beer and good music, which in our opinion equals a good time :)
They Hyatt in Manila...crazy lights on the building...looked like it should be in Vegas

This is the street that most of the "markets" are on in Manila in the Quiapo district.

Inside Central Market...

Some local little girls outside of Central Market wanting their picture taken...

This is the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial...
This is the largest cemetery outside the US where 17,202 of our soldiers are buried for their sacrifice during WWII, predominantly during combat in New Guinea and the Philippines. On the limestone tablets, the beginnings of which are visible in the picture directly below, are also the names of the 36,285 missing in action.
